Black-capped Chickadee and Me

Sometimes when I am in nature, I like to listen to the birds, be quiet and just be present.

My Little Friend

Black-capped Chickadee - hand feeding in the woods

It was a beautiful spring day ~ We headed out for a hike, but not without having our pockets filled with lots of sunflower seeds.  Our little feathered friends follow us everywhere!!  They are so gentle and trusting.  It is priceless watching them close up and makes us appreciate and fall in love with nature even more!

Frosty Morning

~ Winter beauty seen up close ~

The chickadees are always up early too!

Meet "Chip", the newest addition to our squirrel family.  She found a little stash of peanuts to eat, which keeps her warm.  Her mother, Cupcake is a daily visitor who also learned quickly how to "sweet talk" her way to the 'peanut jar' !!
