After the Rain ~

 

Had a great hike to the falls today after the rain....We hike these falls regularly and this was the highest we have ever seen the water level.  The water was raging and went over the concrete wall and into the fish ladders.

With the spring thaw in full force, there is a lot of water and flooding from the ice and snow we had this past winter.

Gaspereau - Grand River Falls

This is the time of year when one can watch the gaspereau make their way up the fish ladders in Grand River Falls.  It is quite the show and facinating to watch them not only go up the ladders, but also up the falls! They must be extremely tired when they finally get to the top!
